This is a working draft pending legal review. This document reflects how Chiclu LLC actually handles your family's data today. If anything here is unclear, email support@realminds.ai.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 3, 2026

The short version

  • The parent (or legal guardian) creates and controls the account. Children do not have independent logins.
  • We collect what we need to deliver the lesson and show you what your kid did. Nothing more.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your child's data with advertisers. There is no behavioral ad tracking on session pages.
  • Session transcripts pass through our AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) under agreements that prohibit using them to train their models.
  • You can review, export, or delete your child's data at any time by emailing support@realminds.ai.

Who we are

RealMind Academy is a product of Chiclu LLC, San Diego, California. When this policy says “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean Chiclu LLC.

Information we collect

From the parent / guardian: name, email address, password (hashed), and payment information processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.

About the child: the name (or first name only, your choice) and age you enter when you create the child profile. We use age to calibrate the AI teacher's language and example choices. We do not collect a child's email, phone number, photo, location, or government identifiers.

From the session itself: the full text transcript of each session, the comprehension test answers, and basic timing/usage data (when the session started, how long it took, which beats were played). When voice input is used, audio is transcribed in real time and the audio is not retained after the transcript is created.

Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, request timing) used for debugging and abuse prevention. We do not run third-party analytics or behavioral ad pixels on session pages.

Information we do not collect

  • No behavioral advertising trackers.
  • No third-party social media pixels on session pages.
  • No persistent audio recordings of children's voices.
  • No biometric data of any kind.
  • No location data beyond what an IP address loosely implies for security purposes.

Children's privacy and COPPA

Some of our students are under 13. We treat their data under the standards of the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Parental consent. A child does not create their own account on RealMind. The parent or legal guardian creates and controls the account, adds the child profile, and accepts these terms. Creating the account is the parent's verifiable consent to the collection described here.

What we collect from a child. Only the name and age you enter for the child profile, plus the transcripts of sessions the child completes. That is it.

How we use it. Solely to deliver the lessons, to generate the parent dashboard you see, and to improve our curriculum on aggregated, de-identified data. We do not contact children directly, profile them for advertising, or expose them to other users in any way.

Parental rights. At any time you can review, export, or delete your child's data, refuse further collection, and close the account. Email support@realminds.ai and we will respond within one business day.

How we use your data

  • To run the AI teaching session and adapt to your child's age.
  • To show you (the parent) the transcript and test results.
  • To bill the subscription via Stripe.
  • To improve our curriculum and our AI prompts, using transcripts that have been aggregated and stripped of identifying detail.
  • To prevent abuse, debug problems, and keep the service running.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of vendors. Each one only sees what it needs:

  • Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication. Stores parent accounts, child profiles, and session transcripts.
  • Stripe — processes payments. Sees parent name, email, billing address, and card details. Does not see child data.
  • Anthropic and OpenAI — generate the AI teacher's responses and transcribe voice input. Receives the conversation in real time. We use these providers under contracts that prohibit training their models on our prompts and responses.
  • Vercel (or our equivalent host) — runs the website and the API.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any party not on this list.

How long we keep data

While your account is active we keep transcripts so you can review them and so your child can resume sessions in progress. If you cancel and ask us to delete the account, we delete it within 30 days. If you cancel without asking, we keep the data for up to 12 months in case you reactivate, then delete it.

Backups are retained for up to 30 additional days for disaster recovery and are then overwritten.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest in our database. Only a small number of people on our team can access production data, and only when needed to support a customer or fix a bug.

Your choices and rights

  • You can edit your account information from the dashboard.
  • You can cancel your subscription from the dashboard at any time. Cancellation stops future billing.
  • You can request a copy of all data we hold about your family, and we will send it within 30 days.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data, and we will do so within 30 days of the request.

For California residents: this section, plus the “Information we collect” and “Who we share data with” sections, satisfy our disclosure obligations under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will email parents at the address on file at least 30 days before the change takes effect, and we will post the change here. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page tells you when the current version went live.
